Bring your group to Sitka, Alaska for a fully guided, fun and adventurous trip of a lifetime! Below is a suggested Itinerary. Itinerary can be fully customized (Customization can change the price of the trip per person).
Itinerary Details
Day 1
Arrive anytime this day. I will arrange airport pick up. For those who arrive early enough, we will meet for a group dinner (meal not included) and if time allows, take in a few local sights.
Day 2
Eagle River Adventure – This 4 hour excursion takes you along Alaska’s coast and inside passage in protected waters and into estuaries. These are the best places for you to look for wildlife such as Alaska Coastal Brown Bears, Sitka Blacktail Deer, American Bald Eagles, River Otters, Mink, and many other species of birds. After exploring the shoreline for a while we will disembark the vessel with a guide at the estuary where you will enjoy a 2 hour guided hike to explore the estuary habitat and watch for Alaska Coastal Brown Bears that are abundant in the area. We will then head downtown for lunch at our favorite local food truck (trust me, you won’t be disappointed) and then visit some historical sites around town. The day will finish with a little time for some souvenir shopping and a group dinner. Meals included: breakfast and lunch.
Day 3
Big hike – Today we will do one of my favorite hikes into the sub-alpine wilderness. This is a point-to-point hike, about 7 miles in length, and takes about 5-6.5 hours to complete. We will climb about 2400 feet in mile 2 and 3. Be prepared, this is a hard hike, but the reward is great! The remaining miles follow a ridgeline with views on both sides. On a clear day, the views of the islands and ocean are other-worldly. After breakfast at the lodge, we will pack a lunch and hit the trail! Meals included: breakfast and lunch.
Day 4
Kayak and Hot Springs – What could be better after a long day of hiking than a soak in the hot springs! We’ll take a 45 minute boat ride where we will me our kayak guide and explore the small islands, tide pools, and estuaries. There are a number of animals and sea life we could witness today. After our kayak tour, we will head to the Hot spring for lunch and a soak. The hot springs feature covered private tubs with gorgeous views of the islands and ocean! Meals included: breakfast and lunch.
Day 5
Deep sea fishing – Sitka offers some of the best deep-sea fishing in the world for salmon, halibut, and cod. Fishing is the primary industry in Sitka. Your day will start with a 5:00am dock departure where you will head out to the fishing grounds. Each boat will have a captain and a deckhand to handle all your fishing needs. All fishing gear is provided, including rain gear and boots. All you do is show up and catch the big one! While out on the ocean you will have the opportunity to see a ton of sea life, including sea otters, sea lions, sea birds, and whales. Your day’s catch will be professional processed and packaged to take home on the airplane with you at the end of your trip. We will conclude the day with a group dinner. Meals included: Breakfast and lunch.
Day 6
Departure day. We will coordinate your transportation to the airport. If time allows, we can drop you off downtown to finish any souvenir shopping before your departure. Meals included: breakfast.

Getting to/from Sitka
- You can only get to Sitka by airplane or ferry.
- Email me with your arrival/departure information so I can arrange pick-up and drop-off.
Payment and Cancelation Policy
Payment is non-refundable but transferable to a future date. Cancelations occurring 2 weeks or less to departure are non-refundable. Exceptions for full refund are death in your family, national or international travel restrictions preventing you from traveling to Sitka, or you experience severe illness preventing you from travel. Written proof from a doctor (for health-related exceptions), an airline company (for flight cancellations), or travel restrictions of the exceptions will be required to receive a full refund.
